Bowl of Cherries

This Chinoiserie transferware bowl in a Pajong pattern made by Petrus Ragout Maastricht of Holland c. 1880 sat on my dining table last summer filled with cherries. Far from perfect, I love its amber colored glaze and evocative design. Its twin sits beside it when take-out is on the menu, sharing the table with an assortment of old cutlery and glassware. Meanwhile, a bread plate hides in the corner of the picture, ready for endocarps- a word I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of using before.
