Central Park Winter

Central Park is my backyard. Walk a half block to the nearest entrance and Sheep Meadow lies beyond, the buildings on Central Park West a tall headboard to its lush green summer bed.

Winter is beautiful too. The trees, resplendent in their summer foliage, are brushstrokes against the blanket of snow.

Go out early enough and the City's hum is hushed, waiting for kids to sled down the hill near the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Making spirits bright. Laughing all the way.
