Paper & Peonies

The tea pot is Limoges and an Ebay find, I am not embarrassed to say. Circa 1910, it makes its appearance with daily regularity. They really knew what they were doing then: the pot stays warm for a very long time.

The vase is an English milk jug. The paper is none other than that The New York Times. I still remember the first time they used color on the front page. Shocking to say the least. Now I don't bat an eyelash. Since the paper has gone from black and white to color, the next step is for it to start talking.
