Look into the light

  1. I'm glad your back from your hiatus. I missed your posts.

Is that a metaphoric "look into the light" and I missed something? Carol Anne? Poltergeists? "Carol Anne - listen to me. Do NOT go into the light. Stop where you are. Turn away from it. Don't even look at it." – Diane

Or did you get new lighting of some kind?

    1. Thank you for your comment, JeffreyD.

The title could be metaphoric and Poltergeits, though I wasn't thinking of these things consciously. The title simply popped into my head when I looked the photo and the light in the window. We do have new track lighting which runs along two major beams in the ceiling, but you can't see it in this photo.

I am fascinated by light, both in photographs and in paintings. Both are windows into another world. Interestingly, Byzantine iconographers thought the same thing, constructing their "writings" for just this purpose. Having worked on one, it make perfect sense to me.

I welcome your comments.
